The Multimedia Presentation Systems from Crestron are an excellent way to equip a boardroom or lecture theater with all its audio video switching requirements. In the past presenting many 
sources to a projector or plasma screen could have involved many different pieces of equipment - typically a video switcher, a VGA switcher, an amplifier and a control processor with power supply. The Crestron MPS-300 unit, for example, will accept 3 computer inputs and 2 video inputs, with audio. The unit will handle all the switching required to present these sources to a display 
(either projector or plasma), control of the sources & display and amplify the signal for listening over in-ceiling speakers. In addition to presenting the source to the display a video preview window can be located on the touchpanel controller in the room - perfect for presentations where the screen might be behind the speaker with the audience in front. This advanced Multimedia Presentation System can be further enhanced with the addition of Quick Media devices.
Add on Crestron Quick Media Devices
Quick Media allows us to send high definition signals over inexpensive Cat5e cabling. Our most popular use of the technology is to mount a flip top box in a boardroom. Opening (or flipping) the
top reveals a host of connections including power, network connection and VGA cable to connect your laptop display in to the system. The lid of the flip top box can even house a touchpanel to allow control of the room, this can be audio visual control, lighting scenes, blinds and even air conditioning.
