The Brief
- Update and refresh an unreliable boardroom control system.
- Provide a “user friendly” system.
- Integrate existing sources into the new system.
- Provide remote maintenance and support.
The Delivery
After a full demonstration at the Crestron Head Offices, the client chose to have their system designed around a Crestron MPS-200. This complete multimedia presentation system provided the client with an integrated control system, multimedia switcher, processor and amplifier in a single unit, giving them significant savings in rack space and improving reliability.
To update the hardware, the client chose a new Projection Design F20 projector, radio controlled keyboard and mouse, and a Draper Cineplex Screen.
The existing Lutron lighting dimmers were incorporated into the system, allowing full control of all lighting scenes from either the lectern touchpanel or the wall mounted keypad. Window blinds and blackout blinds were controlled by existing low-voltage interfaces.
An existing lectern mounted touchpanel was replaced with a Crestron TPS-15G-QM-L allowing video preview and source control. The embedded video window allows the presenter to preview a source whilst projecting another (please see image). This simple and easy to use touch panel interface was custom designed in-house and incorporated the clients brand identity.
A Crestron C2N-DB12 keypad was mounted in the wall at the doorway, providing further control over the shades, lights and source volume.
