Crestron Digital Media Certified Designer & Engineer
One of a Handful of Qualified Dealerships in the UK.
We recently attended the Crestron Digital Media training at Crestron UK's headquarters to formalise our knowledge of the Digital Media range. Even though we installed the first Digtial Media system in the country the range has been swiftly changing and expanding - making the system hugely flexible and powerful. The course was very worthwhile and qualification cements us at the top of the Crestron dealership network.
Crestron Digital Media Certified Designer
The design part of the course puts together the principles of Digital Media design - whether to use fibre, Cat6 or Cat5e and what the differences are. Things to look out for in relation to sources and displays and how not everything in the world of HDCP is equal. The product range for Digital Media is now huge so it was very interesting to see the latest developments and to hear about the upcoming products.
Crestron Digital Media Certified Engineer
This part of the course concentrates on commissioning the system, installation and fault finding. The number of options to put a system together is staggering - allowing almost any source to be distributed to a display. The fault finding elements of the course was the most interesting and allows our engineers to work out why a certain source may not like talking to a certain display. The beauty of the Crestron system is that it allows the installer to force the source equipment to output at a required level ensuring compatibility with the display equipment. This level of calibration is the thing which separates Digital Media from the competition.
At Custom Controls we are committed to having at least one Digital Media certified Engineer and Designer on staff at all times.
