Kaleidescape BluRay Movie Players

Now your Kaleidescape DVD Server can Store & Play BluRay

The new M-Class range of BluRay players from Kaleidescape all you to store and playback BluRay films in the same way as your normal DVD collection. Two players resemble the 1080p player and the 1080p mini player in size yet allow playing and importation of BluRay disks. The M500 player allows importation of BluRay films in to the server for later playback - although due to licensing issues a copy of the BluRay disk must be present in a BluRay enabled drive during playback. In the long term Kaleidescape are developing a disk carousel to fit under your server and hold your BluRay collection. Although this may seem counter productive at first the actual film will be held on the server allowing all the usual Kaleidescape benefits over a standard disk carousel. The M-Class range of BluRay players feature a fully animated 1080p onscreen interface ensuring faster and smoother browsing of cover art and lists.

Full Support of BluRay Features & Enhancements

The new M-Class of players also feature full decoding of the new HD audio formats embedded on BluRay disks - such as Dolby DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. The enhanced video hardware, combined with new video codecs, allows future innovation in the form of downloaded films - making Kaleidescape ideally suited for this forthcoming delivery method.

Of course, the M500 can play directly from CD or DVD in addition to playing any stored media already on your server.
