As one of the first companies in the UK to fully integrate an iPhone in to a Crestron system we are excited byt the Apple iPad - the huge HD screen lends itself perfectly to controlling a whole home automation system. The Crestron Mobile application (available for download from the Apple iStore) enables the iPad to talk directly to a Crestron processor - without the need for any extra hardware.

Easily Control Music Servers, Lighting & Video Distribution

The impressive iPad screen is perfectly suited to controlling media servers - allowing easy selection of music and films from the largest libraries. The HD screen shows cover art in addition to other meta tag information like album name, artist and track length.

Here at Custom Controls we like to think slightly 'out of the box' - in addition to being an excellent controller for your Crestron system why not make it a source too. The iPad has a huge number of applications available to allow easy access to streaming music (Spotify, Last.FM etc), internet video (Youtube) and many other media rich locations. Sharing these media streams makes sense - imagine docking your iPad and being able to listen to your music stream through your high end in-wall speakers and even better being able to continue listening in another room.
