Crestron DIN Rail Lighting Solutions
Even more Flexibility in the Crestron Lighting range!
The DIN rail lighting system available from Crestron is the most flexible lighting system available. In common with its bigger brother (the CLX range) it enables you to dim almost any kind of lamp, in addition to catering for all your automation requirements.
Crestron DIN Rail Universal Dimmer (DIN-1DIMU4)
The obvious place to start is with the DIN rail universal dimmer - this will support electronic and magnetic low voltage, incandescent, neon/cold cathode, 2-wire dimmable fluorescent and non dimmable lighting loads. In short most domestic fittings! With 5A (1200Watts) per channel or 10A (2400 Watts) over the whole module this is a serious piece of hardware. This unit will auto detect the type of load on any of its four channels and dim accordingly.
DIN Motor Control (DIN-2MC2)
The DIN-2MC2 is designed to provide control of bidirectional motors commonly used in curtains, blinds and projector screens. Now lighting scenes can easily be integrated with curtains and blinds providing the ultimate convenience. LIghting keypads (see below) can detect when darkness falls and automatically close the blinds and bring the lights on - increasing convenience and security - even when you are away from home.
0-10V Fluorescent Dimmer (DIN-4DIMFLV4)
We are seeing more and more 4 wire 0-10V fluorescent lighting being specified as people strive to meet tighter and tighter planning requirements. Luckily this 4 channel module supports up to 30 dimmable ballasts per channel providing a huge amount of flexibility and control.
Crestron DIN Rail 2-Series Automation Controller (DIN-AP2)
The DIN-AP2 provides the brains of the entire system - when you call for a lighting scene in your lounge the DIN-AP2 is the unit which makes sure all the lighting channels ramp to the right level and your blinds close. The system also communicates with other processors in a Crestron whole house system to provide lighting feedback to audio visual systems and allows fuller integration - such as bringing light levels up when you pause a DVD.
Crestron Cameo Lighting Keypad - (C2NI-CB)
The international version of the above keypad is a double unit which fits in to either European or UK back boxes. This new version has all the benefits of the above touchpanel plus an auto dimming back light which means it gets brighter as light levels drop - no more fumbling in the dark again (this can be dimmed for bedroom use). The built in ambient light sensor can even give feedback to a Crestron automation controller meaning we can close the blinds when it gets dark as well as automatically raising light levels on a per room basis. The buttons could now be used to pick the light level required and the system will calculate how bright the lights need to be! This is by far the most efficient way to light a room and is extremely convenient too!
