Crucially, it is fully wireless. Using Lutron’s proprietary Clear Connect RF technology — which operates independently of your Wi-Fi — RadioRA 3 can be installed without touching a single wall. It is ideal for retrofits in period homes, renovations, and any project where rewiring is not desirable or practical.

What is the difference between RadioRA 3 and Homeworks QSX?
RadioRA 3 is Lutron’s wireless mid-range system — ideal for homes up to around 10,000 sq ft or where rewiring is not desired. Homeworks QSX is Lutron’s flagship wired system for the most demanding homes, offering deeper integration, unlimited zones and access to Ketra full-spectrum lighting and the Palladiom and Alisse keypad ranges.
Can RadioRA 3 work with Crestron?
Yes — and this is one of Custom Controls’ specialisms. We have extensive experience integrating Lutron RadioRA 3 with Crestron home automation systems, creating a unified control interface for lighting, AV, HVAC and security. This combination is our most popular whole-home configuration.
Do you install RadioRA 3 outside of London?

Can I upgrade my existing Lutron system to RadioRA 3?
