Types of Home Cinema We Install in Surrey

How We Design a Surrey Cinema Room

Every cinema we build starts on paper. Room dimensions are assessed against the ITU-R BS.1116 and EBU Tech 3276 room ratio guidelines, then the seating layout, screen size, speaker positions and acoustic treatment are designed together, and only then is the equipment specified. We produce 3D renders of the finished room so the client can see the seating, screen, wall finishes and lighting before anything is built, followed by construction drawings covering stud walls, cavity depths, electrical and data requirements and joinery. Those drawings go to the builder as a working document, which is how a garage, basement or garden building becomes a room that performs as designed.

Sound Isolation in Surrey Homes

A cinema operating at reference level produces bass energy that travels through the structure of a house, so isolation is designed in from the start rather than added later. Garden cinema buildings and detached garages give the easiest route to high isolation, which is one reason they are popular in Surrey. For cinemas inside the main house, we specify decoupled wall, floor and ceiling constructions, up to a full room-within-a-room build where bedrooms or living spaces sit alongside. A well-isolated room works both ways: it keeps the film out of the rest of the house and keeps household noise out of the quiet passages of the film.

Home Cinema Calibration Surrey

We calibrate every Surrey cinema installation — and offer standalone calibration for cinema rooms installed by other companies. Our calibration service uses Dirac Live, Trinnov Optimizer and ISF-standard video calibration. As RoomPerfect Certified Professionals, we also calibrate Steinway Lyngdorf systems across Surrey. Speaker levels, distances, crossover points and equalisation are all set in the finished room, so the system performs to the room it sits in.

Home Cinema Service, Renovation & Maintenance Surrey
